Camping on Oahu

Camping in Oahu

Recently I visited Ho’omaluhia Botanical Garden for a mini staycation. My husband and I ventured to the park for a camping weekend. First off, if you get the chance to visit this Hawaii this spot is a must especially for photos. Its filled with lush green and beautiful flowers and you’re surrounded by mountain ridges. We went online to get camping permit which was super easy. It costs around $30 bucks and you just need to keep it on you while inside property. We brought all our camping gear including a mini grill but I do believe they have designated grilling areas too if you don’t want to lug a mini grill around. This weekend we only saw one other camper around so it was so nice! It does get hot and muggy during day, duh its an island, but the evenings are fantastic. If its not cloudy the stars are incredible and the sounds of nature are the best. The park also has well kept bathrooms and showering areas and places to fill up your cups or canteens with fresh water. I love how its close to home but feels like you’re so far away. Ho’omaluhia Garden’s also has designated paths or trails as well as a lake that you can fish out of too. I definitely recommend spending at least some time here when visiting or if you live on island I highly recommend camping here especially during the cooler months. I’m definitely going to be sharing a lot more posts on adventures I do so stay tuned for some more epic ones to come!

Anyone who is on island and has some fun outdoor adventures they’d like to share, shoot me an email. I’m always looking for new and fun adventures in Oahu.
